Call for Participation
1st Colloquium of PhD Students in Joint Doctoral Programmes
KreativEU Alliance of European Universities
We are pleased to announce the inaugural Colloquium of Doctoral Students enrolled in Joint Doctoral Programmes, to be held under the auspices of the KreativEU Alliance. This academic gathering is designed to foster intellectual exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue, and collaborative development among doctoral researchers across partner institutions.
We warmly invite:
- Doctoral students to present scientific papers derived from their ongoing doctoral research, offering insights into their findings, conceptual frameworks, and methodologies.
- First-year doctoral students to introduce their doctoral thesis projects, outlining the scope, research objectives, and anticipated scholarly contributions.
In addition to research presentations, the colloquium will feature a series of training sessions designed to support doctoral formation and innovation in research practice. These will include:
- Open Access Publishing at Doctoral Level: Contexts, strategies, and practical guidance
- Academic Writing: Enhancing clarity, structure, and scholarly expression
- Good Scientific Practice: Upholding research integrity and ethical standards
- Presentation of the KreativEU Advisory Pool and feedback from participating doctoral students
A central theme of the colloquium will be the Co-Creation of Doctoral Programmes, exploring participatory models for shaping doctoral education within the KreativEU framework.
This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with peers and mentors, contribute to the evolution of joint doctoral programmes, and strengthen academic collaboration across Europe, while also including social programme and a lot of fun.

Those wishing to present their research or doctoral project are requested to include in the registration form:
- The title of their presentation
- An abstract of no more than 200 words
The deadline for submission is 1 November 2025. Accepted contributions may be considered for inclusion in the official colloquium proceedings.
We look forward to your participation and to the rich exchange of ideas this colloquium will inspire.
The virtual sessions of the colloquium will be held via Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Access details will be communicated in due course to all registered participants.
The social programme will take place in the evenings of 19 and 20 November, from 18:30 to 21:00, hosted locally by each participating university.
Doctoral students of Valahia University of Târgoviște, as well as those currently undertaking mobility placements at Valahia University, are warmly invited to attend the event onsite at the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Science and Technology.
