Regarding the recommendation of a candidate for the doctoral program at the Opole University of Technology in Opole
Pursuant to § 5(3)(c) of the Conditions and Procedures for Admission to the Doctoral School at the Opole University of Technology in Opole (Appendix to Resolution No. 209 of the Senate of the Opole University of Technology dated January 28, 2026), we hereby inform candidates of the possibility of obtaining a recommendation from the relevant disciplinary scientific council for admission to the doctoral school at the Opole University of Technology in Opole (hereinafter the doctoral school).
1. To obtain a recommendation from the relevant disciplinary academic council (hereinafter the council), a candidate for the doctoral school must submit an application, the template for which is provided in the appendix to this notice, by May 31 of the calendar year in which the candidate applies for admission to the doctoral school.
2. The application is submitted to the chair of the relevant council through the relevant discipline coordinator at the doctoral school. The contact information for the coordinators is available at: https://szkoladoktorska.po.edu.pl/index.php/kontakt.
3. The relevant council conducts an interview with the doctoral school candidate to assess the candidate’s aptitude for research work in the given academic discipline.
4. The chair of the relevant council, through the discipline coordinator at the doctoral school, shall notify the candidate of the interview date via the email address provided in the application, no later than 7 days before the council meeting.
5. Upon a justified request by the doctoral school candidate, the interview may be conducted via electronic means of communication. The interview with a foreign candidate shall be conducted in English, at the candidate’s request.
6. Following the interview with the candidate, the committee shall adopt a resolution to grant or deny the recommendation. A resolution to deny the recommendation does not require justification. The committee chair shall immediately notify the candidate of the resolution regarding the recommendation.
7. If the candidate fails to appear for the interview on the scheduled date, the board shall leave the application unexamined.
